Once again, sorrowful news emerges from Lee Sun Kyun’s family. Three months after the demise of the Korean actor, his father has reportedly passed away, following in his son’s footsteps. This news was reported by several Korean media outlets on Wednesday (27/3/2024).
Lee Sun Kyun’s father’s passing occurred amidst a period of mourning and ongoing legal proceedings involving the actor’s family. It is known that Lee Sun Kyun was implicated in a suspected drug case and has been under investigation since October 2023.
The actor was discovered unconscious in his car after attempting to take his own life on December 27, 2023. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the actor, known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Parasite (2019), was pronounced dead on the same day.
Currently, the funeral arrangements for Lee Sun Kyun’s father are being managed by Hodu&U Entertainment, the agency representing the deceased and his wife, Jeon Hye Jin. Our deepest condolences are extended, and we wish strength to the bereaved families.
