1. Ok Hee
Ok Hee (Kim Sung Ryung) is the mother of Loh Kiwan (Song Joong Ki). She has been a single mother since her son was small. He and his only son are said to be North Korean defectors and live in China.
As a mother, Ok Hee only prioritizes her child. He was willing to work hard in the cold because his son had to live in hiding after being wanted by the Chinese police. 2. Jeong Ju
Jeong Ju (Lee Il Hwa) is the mother of Marie (Choi Sung Eun). When the princess was still small, Jeong Ju and her family moved from South Korea to Belgium. They finally chose to change their citizenship status after living there for years.
Unfortunately, bad luck befell this family. Jeong Ju was diagnosed as seriously ill so he could only lie down at home. Her husband and daughter sincerely care for her, but Jeong Ju struggles with her chronic illness. Finally, she asked her husband to agree to euthanasia for her and told Marie not to know about this.
3. Seon Ju
Seon Ju (Lee Sang Hee) is told as a Korean-Chinese who became an immigrant in Belgium. He worked in a meat slaughter factory. He lived his difficult days by working hard.
It turns out that the reason Seon Ju works so hard is for the medical expenses of her youngest daughter. He has several children and the youngest is seriously ill. Her daughter underwent several head operations. However, Seon Ju did not talk about his daughter in a sad tone but rather with optimism that her child would soon be healthy again.
