2. Kang In Ha faces expulsion, imprisonment, and tragedy
On the day Kang In Ha (Lee Jun Young) is set to take over the Kangoh Group, he gets arrested by Prosecutor Ha Myung Jin (Huh Nam Jun). With testimony from Mo Gi Jun (Kwon Hyuk) and evidence from Han Tae Oh, Kang In Ha is detained.
During the trial, Kang In Ha is found guilty of a serious crime and receives a life sentence. Additionally, Chairman Kang removes him from the family’s registry, forcing In Ha to revert to the surname Baek.
After enduring repeated trials, Kang In Ha tragically ends his life by hanging himself, leaving behind a graduation photo with Han Tae Oh and Na Hye Won (Hong Suzu). Whether Na Hye Won and Kang In Ha divorced remains unclear.
3. The genuine friendship between Kang In Ha and Han Tae Oh
Kang In Ha and Han Tae Oh’s friendship begins in high school when Han Tae Oh moves to Kang In Ha’s area. While theories suggest Kang In Ha may have collaborated with Mo Gi Jun from the start, their friendship appears sincere, albeit mutually beneficial. Things change when Na Hye Won enters the picture, triggering In Ha’s insecurity and jealousy.
4. Han Tae Oh emerges as the true heir
Han Tae Oh (Lee Jae Wook) successfully acquires shares and control of the Kangoh Group from Kang In Ha. Recognizing Tae Oh’s sincerity, Chairman Kang appoints him as the Main Director of the Kangoh Group.

5. Han Tae Oh and Kang Hui Ju: Are they romantically involved?
In the ending, it’s unclear who joins Han Tae Oh on his sail. Three years prior, Na Hye Won expressed a desire to focus on herself, hinting that she and Tae Oh aren’t together.
Meanwhile, Kang Hui Ju left her family behind three years ago and is still vacationing in Mexico in 2026. Viewers speculate that Han Tae Oh might be falling for Kang Hui Ju, given their continued contact. Hui Ju even sends a portrait with a message from Mexico.
