Issey Takahashi, Isao Hashizume, and Tsubasa Honda are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Six-Second Path Season 2.” The drama series is set one year after 2023 TV Asahi drama series “Six-Second Path: The Melancholy of Fireworks Master Seitaro Mochizuki.” Also cast to play a new character in the sequel drama series is Mayu Miyamoto. For Mayu Miyamoto, she will play a mysterious woman named Fumika Noguchi. She approaches Seitaro Mochizuki (Issey Takahashi) to work as his apprentice.

“Six-Second Path Season 2” will first air April 13, 2024 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Saturday 11:30 PM time slot after “Rikon Shinai Otoko“).

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Seitaro Mochizuki (Issey Takahashi) was full of enthusiasm as a pyrotechnist, but, 1 year later, his enthusiasm for his work has gone away. He hardly goes out and he lives like a recluse. His fireworks store, that has been passed down for generations in his family, is still open, but doesn’t get much business. The reason for his condition may be related to too much media attention and his personality. Meanwhile, Seitaro Mochizuki’s pupil Hikari Mizumori (Tsubasa Honda) works part-time as a pyrotechnist at a different fireworks store. Working at the other fireworks store, she realizes once again the greatness of Seitaro Mochizuki’s fireworks skill. At that time, the ghost of Ko Mochizuki (Isao Hashizume) appears in front of Seitaro Mochizuki and Hikari Mizumori. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Fumika Noguchi (Mayu Miyamoto) appears at Seitaro Mochizuki’s fireworks store.
