Heaven’s Garden is a delightful and heartwarming family drama that spans three generations. Set in a tiny township, the story revolves around the lives of its people as they come together to make a profit by consolidating their land and their lives.
The main character, Jung Jae In, faces challenging circumstances after separating from her husband due to his business going bankrupt. Left with no other option, she moves back to her hometown in the countryside with her two daughters to live with her father. The isolated mountainside in Kangwon Province becomes the backdrop for a tale of resentment, pain, and reconciliation within the family.
What sets Heaven’s Garden apart from other K-dramas is its episodic structure. Each episode features small stories that start and end within that episode, with only a few storylines carrying over throughout the entire series. Grudges and misunderstandings are resolved relatively quickly, which keeps the drama engaging and optimistic.
