Synopsis
Go Ho is a 29-year-old advertisement contractor who wants success in both her career and romance. Unfortunately, neither seems to be working out particularly well because the only two men in her life are Kang Tae Ho, her short-tempered boss, and Hwang Ji Hoon, her ex-boyfriend. Dealing with their increasingly irritating behavior and her decreasingly abundant time until she hits the “big thirty,” can Go Ho reach for the skies and capture her dreams, or will this starry night end in darkness?

A Binge-Worthy Rom-Com
At twenty-nine years old, Go Ho faces the struggles of the modern-day woman—balancing work, romance, and personal growth in the 21st century. Go Ho’s Starry Night is a delightful Korean drama that manages to pack a punch in just twenty short episodes. Here’s why you should consider adding it to your watchlist:
- Engaging Storyline: The drama revolves around Go Ho, an advertising professional, as she navigates her career and love life. Despite the familiar office setting, the show keeps viewers hooked with its witty dialogues, relatable situations, and unexpected twists. The pacing is spot-on, and there’s never a dull moment.
- Realistic Relationships: Go Ho’s interactions with her ex-boyfriend and other love interests feel genuine. The chemistry between the main characters—portrayed by Kim Young Kwang and Yuri—is palpable. Their relationship development unfolds naturally, making it easy for viewers to root for them.
- Brevity Done Right: Unlike many dramas that tend to drag on, Go Ho’s Starry Night respects your time. Each episode is around 20 minutes, and the writers manage to resolve all plotlines satisfactorily. No unnecessary filler episodes here!
- Light and Fun: The drama strikes a balance between comedy and romance. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, allowing you to enjoy the quirky moments and heartfelt scenes. The soundtrack complements the overall vibe, adding to the enjoyment.
- Yuri’s Surprising Performance: Yuri, known as a member of Girls’ Generation, shines in her role as Go Ho. Her portrayal is endearing, and she brings depth to the character. It’s refreshing to see her step into a lead role and deliver a memorable performance.
- The Not-So-Good: While there’s little to complain about, some of the “sick” scenes—where characters cough or sneeze—could have been better executed. They come across as a tad forced.
In summary, Go Ho’s Starry Night is a feel-good drama that leaves you craving more after each episode. If you’re in the mood for a light-hearted rom-com with relatable characters, this one’s a winner. Plus, it won’t leave your brain hurting!
