A Dark and Intriguing Thriller
“Crime Puzzle” is a hidden gem that captivates viewers with its dark and intense storyline. Set in the world of criminal psychology, this 10-episode drama takes us on a rollercoaster ride through secrets, bloodshed, and psychological twists.
The Good:
- Engaging Plot Development: From the very first episode, I was hooked. The script keeps getting better with each installment, and the suspense builds relentlessly. The puzzle pieces of the main case are revealed gradually, leaving viewers hungry for more.
- Impressive Acting: The cast brings their roles to life. Special mention to Song Sun Mi’s portrayal of Park Jeong Ha—a character who evokes both fascination and detestation. Her emotional intensity adds depth to the drama.
- Thrilling Elements: If you love thrillers, dark mysteries, and criminal psychology, “Crime Puzzle” delivers. Be prepared for bloodbath scenes and a plot that doesn’t shy away from the grim aspects of crime.
The Not-So-Good:
- Plot Development: While the drama maintains a fast pace, the bad guys seem to have the upper hand throughout. Witness deaths and losses pile up, leaving viewers frustrated. A more balanced win-lose formula would have been preferable.
- Violence: The drama is rated R for a reason. The violence is intense, even by OCN dark drama standards. If you’re sensitive to blood and brutality, proceed with caution.
Final Verdict:
“Crime Puzzle” is a must-watch for thriller enthusiasts who appreciate a gripping storyline and strong character dynamics. However, if you prefer lighter fare, this drama might not be your cup of tea.
