“Bitch X Rich” – A Missed Opportunity
“Bitch X Rich” had all the ingredients for a gripping story: an intriguing premise, a talented cast, and a focus on the clash between the haves and the have-nots. Unfortunately, despite its potential, the drama falls short due to execution issues.
1. Story (6.5/10): The drama lacks a clear direction. It shifts attention from one plot point to another without a compelling reason, leaving the script feeling loose. While I appreciate stories that explore human complexity, the character bonds were poorly developed. It felt as if the creators were hoarding material for a purposefully inconclusive ending. A second season is desperately needed to tie up the loose ends.
2. Acting/Cast (9.0/10): The cast delivers commendable performances. However, even their talent couldn’t salvage the weak writing. The chemistry between characters, especially the second male lead and the female lead, remains unexplored.
3. Music (5.0/10): The soundtrack fails to leave a lasting impression. It lacks the emotional resonance needed to elevate key moments.
4. Rewatch Value (5.0/10): Despite its flaws, the drama’s brevity makes it a decent watch if you’re looking for something to pass the time. However, it doesn’t offer much incentive for a rewatch.
In summary, “Bitch X Rich” is like underbaked lasagna—promising but ultimately unsatisfying. If you’re intrigued by the premise and have nothing else to watch, give it a shot. Just be prepared for an inconclusive ending that leaves many threads untied.
