Synopsis

Sometimes, all we need is a simple, light-hearted romantic comedy that doesn’t burden us with overthinking. Enter “Congrats My Ex!”, a charming Thai romcom that premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 16, 2023.
The film revolves around Risa, who runs a wedding management company. A few years ago, she was heartbroken by Arun, an Indian boy she met while studying in the UK. Since then, poor Risa has developed an unfortunate physical reaction to anything remotely romantic. Fate intervenes when she has to arrange Arun’s wedding. Her goal? Make Arun jealous without sabotaging the festivities. To add to the chaos, she hires another ex-boyfriend, Tim, to film the wedding after her original photographer meets with an accident.
What sets “Congrats My Ex!” apart is its celebration of culture. Instead of chuckling at cultural peculiarities, the film embraces them.
