Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo were first linked to a new drama on April 24, 2024. According to News1, Gong Yoo is contemplating a role in a new drama directed by writer Noh Hee Kyung. Gong Yoo’s agency, Management Soop, has also confirmed this news.

Song Hye Kyo has also reportedly received the same offer and is currently reviewing the script. Both actors have garnered positive feedback from Korean fans eager to see them collaborate. However, there’s been no confirmation from Gong Yoo or Song Hye Kyo yet.

2. The collaboration between the writer of Our Blues and the director of Coffee Prince is also worth noting.

He will team up with director Lee Yoon Jeong, known for Coffee Prince and Cheese in the Trap. If Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo accept, it will be a reunion with the director and writer.

Produced by Studio Dragon and its subsidiary, GTist, which houses writer Noh Hee Kyung, the drama’s broadcast location is still undecided, but it’s planned for release on an OTT platform with 20 to 24 episodes.
On April 25, 2024, OSEN reported the estimated production costs of the drama. The cost per episode is estimated to be around 3 billion won, with a total estimated production cost of 80 billion won.
Studio Dragon responded, stating, “Because it’s still in the planning stage, the number of episodes and production costs have not been finalized.”
With these staggering cost estimates, attention is increasingly focused on the production of this new Korean drama by writer Noh Hee Kyung. Now, we await Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo’s decision on accepting the roles.
