Keyeast Entertainment, a company that represents many popular South Korean actors and actresses, was established by Bae Yong Joon in 1996 and later acquired by SM Entertainment in 2018.
Over time, several artists from Keyeast Entertainment have chosen not to renew their contracts. Here are four actors and actresses who will depart from Keyeast Entertainment in 2024.
1. Jo Bo Ah
Jo Bo Ah, who joined Keyeast Entertainment in 2021, concluded her contract in January 2024. She recently signed with XYZ Studio, a new agency established by former Keyeast Entertainment staff. Jo Bo Ah’s last project with Keyeast Entertainment, the drama “Destined With You,” aired from August to October 2023. She is rumored to star in the upcoming Korean drama “Hong Rang,” alongside Lee Jae Wook, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Jae Wook.
2. Lee Tae Vin
Lee Tae Vin’s exclusive contract with Keyeast Entertainment expires in 2024. He has since joined IOK Company, as confirmed on March 22, 2024. Lee Tae Vin gained recognition through his roles in popular Korean dramas like “Penthouses” (2019-2022), “Rich Man” (2018), “365: Repeat the Year” (2020), “Delivery” (2021), and the recent “Love For Love’s Sake” (2024).
3. Moon Ga Young
According to reports from allkpop, Moon Ga Young opted not to renew her contract with Keyeast Entertainment, allowing it to expire in 2024. She had been with Keyeast Entertainment since 2018 and reviewed her contract in 2021. Ga Young has received offers for roles in the latest Korean drama adaptation of the web novel “He is a Black Dragon” and a possible adaptation of the Chinese film “Us and Them.”
4. Jung Sung Il
As reported by starnews, Jung Sung Il joined XYZ Studio after declining to renew his contract with Keyeast Entertainment in 2024. He initially signed with Keyeast Entertainment in 2020. Jung Sung Il is rumored to have several Korean drama projects lined up for 2024, including “Unmasked” alongside Kim Hye Soo and possibly “Guardians.”
Lee Tae Vin, Jo Bo Ah, and Jung Sung Il have transitioned to new agencies following their departure from Keyeast Entertainment, where they are currently engaged in their latest projects. As for Moon Ga Young, will she soon announce her affiliation with a new agency?
