Baek Il Hong wanted to exploit Bok Man Heum’s (Go Du Shim) wealth, which was amassed from a gym business. She instructed Do Da Hae to get close to Bok Man Heum’s family.
Falling in love with Bok Gwi Ju led Do Da Hae to end her relationship with him, hoping her adoptive mother would stop targeting his family. In the trailer for episode nine, Do Da Hae firmly tells Baek Il Hong to leave Bok Man Geum’s family alone and declares her desire to stop being a fraud.
