The identity of Gong Joon Ho (Jung Ho Bin) starts to come out in episodes 13 and 14 of the Korean show Nothing Uncovered. Before this, people only knew him as a close friend of Kim Tae Heon (Yeon Woo Jin) and the personal secretary of Seol Pan Ho (Jung Woong In).
Who would have guessed that his role in this show wasn’t just that? He’s one of the people involved in the murder cases of Cha Eun Se (Han Ji Eun), her father Seo Jung Won, Seo Sang Gyeon, and most recently, Lee Da Reun (Seo Bum June).
Why did he get caught up in these murders? Find out below!
1. Gong Joon Ho is Like a Father to Kim Tae Heon
Ever since the first episode, Gong Joon Ho has been like family to Kim Tae Heon. He’s always there when this detective is struggling with his cases. Gong Joon Ho’s advice helps Kim Tae Heon get back on his feet and live a better life.
Their bond goes way back to Kim Tae Heon’s school days. Being an orphan, Kim Tae Heon relied heavily on Gong Joon Ho. Their story started when Kim Tae Heon found something unexpected in Gong Joon Ho’s pocket on the bus – a knife with a unique pattern.
Their relationship grows over time, with Gong Joon Ho inspiring Kim Tae Heon to become a detective like him. But in episodes 13 and 14, when Gong Joon Ho’s involvement in a murder comes to light, it angers Kim Tae Heon, leading him to investigate further.
2. Seol Pan Ho’s Right-Hand Man
After leaving the police force, Gong Joon Ho becomes Seol Pan Ho’s personal secretary. It’s later revealed that he’s been receiving money from an anonymous donor for his sister’s treatment, suspected to be Seol Pan Ho.
Gong Joon Ho’s role as Seol Pan Ho’s accomplice becomes evident in episode 14. He’s implicated in various crimes, including the murders of Seo Jung Won’s father and Seo Sang Gyeon, who were investigating corruption and a hit-and-run involving Seol Woo Jae. He’s also linked to Cha Eun Sae’s attempted murder and the recent killing of Lee Da Reun.
3. Entangled in a Web of Murder
Being Seol Pan Ho’s right-hand man means getting involved in a series of murders. It’s believed he did it to fund his brother’s expensive medical treatment for a rare illness.
Out of loyalty to Seol Pan Ho, Gong Joon Ho follows orders unquestioningly. Even when Kim Tae Heon confronts him and asks him to turn himself in, he refuses and fights back.
Gong Joon Ho’s unwavering loyalty surprises those around him. Was it solely for his brother’s treatment expenses, or is there more to his actions? What do you think?
