Drama Pyramid Games (2024) adapted from webtoons with the same title can be read on LINE WEBTOON in English. The final two episodes of this drama aired on Viu on Thursday (21/3/2024).
Pyramid Games presents an ending that differs slightly from its webtoon counterpart. Let’s explore the 10 differences between the endings of the drama and the webtoon version of Pyramid Games.

1. Different Character in the Bear Costume:
In the drama, the figure in the bear costume is not Mrs. Yoon but the stalker Im Ye Rim. In contrast, in the webtoon, Mrs. Yoon saves Lim Ye Rim from a stalker, among other differences.

In the drama, Cho Seung Hwa (Cho Dong In), Cho Woo Ri’s older brother, helps Sung Soo Ji uncover the Pyramid Game until the end. After Seo Do Ah installed the camera on the blackboard, Cho Seung Hwa broadcast the incident in class 2-5 to the public. After that, the dangerous game went viral.
Well, if it’s the version webtoonsit was Ra Haejun’s friends who broadcast the moment voting Pyramid Game via social media. Ra Haejun’s friends got help from Teacher Yoon so they could infiltrate class 2-5.
4. Scapegoats Vary:
The students blamed for the bullying incidents differ between the drama and the webtoon.
Towards the end, the Baekyeon Group did not remain silent when the incidents of class 2-5 bullying became widespread to the public. They started manipulating the media and made Sung Soo Ji and his father, Sung Hee Seok (Choi Dae Chul), the perpetrators of violence. Luckily, Im Ye Rim, Myoung Ja Eun, Cho Woo Ri, and Teacher Yoon stepped in to help, conduct interviews and provide clarification.
Different from version webtoon-The students who were the perpetrators were Kim Doyeon, Myeong Jaeun, and Sim Eunjeong. Additionally, the student who fought with Kim Dayeon on the live broadcast was actually Sim Eunjeong, not Myeong Jaeun.
5. Hospitalized Character:
The character hospitalized due to injuries varies between the drama and the webtoon.
Sim Eun Jeong (Lee Ju Yeon) suffered an injury and underwent surgery because of an argument with Kim Da Yeon (Hwan Hyun Jung). He also had to be treated for several months until the therapy was successful. After that, Sim Eun Jeong was able to compete again.
If you look at it from webtoon-Apparently, the class 2-5 student who was hospitalized and suffered serious injuries was not Eun Jeong, but Myeong Jaeun. He protected Baek Harin from the acid that Bang Ui splashed on him. Due to a head injury, Jaeun had to cut his hair like Sim Eunjeong, even shorter.
6. Location of the Fire:
The setting of the fire differs between the drama and the webtoon.
It turns out that footage of the fire that appeared in episodes 5 and 6 of the drama occurred at Haneul House, the orphanage where Baek Ha Rin used to live. At first, viewers thought it was the class 2-5 building of Baekyeon Girls’ High School, because they both have a statue of Byun Cho Soon (Nam Gi Ae), Baek Ha Rin’s grandmother.
Apart from that, the reason Baek Ha Rin was unconscious in the drama was because she consumed drugs. After that, there was an explosion from the room in the orphanage.
Meanwhile in webtoon-Finally, Baek Harin fainted because she saved Myeong Jaeun. His head was bleeding, because it was hit by rotten wood after a fire in class 2-5.
7. Characters’ Pasts:
Baek Ha Rin and Myoung Ja Eun’s pasts are depicted differently in the drama compared to the webtoon.
In the drama, Baek Ha Rin is an orphan who lives at Haneul House. He went to the same elementary school as Myoung Ja Eun. Because Myoung Ja Eun couldn’t keep the secret about Baek Ha Rin staying at the orphanage, she ended up being bullied by her classmates.
If in webtoons, Baek Harin and Myeong Jaeun are brothers, even though they are not biological. They once lived in the same house, but because Baek Harin almost poisoned his adoptive father, he was sent to an orphanage.
Meanwhile, the reason Baek Ha Rin was adopted in the drama was because Choi Yi Hwa (Jung Ae Youn) and Baek Hyun Joon (Kim Young Pil) did not have children. Meanwhile in webtoonsbecause their daughter named Baek Harin died.
8. Affair Plot:
The affair subplot involving Seo Do Ah’s father and Baek Ha Rin’s mother is unique to the drama.

9. Appearance of Miryo Group Successor:
The appearance of the Miryo Group successor is exclusive to the drama.
Another difference that appears in ending drama Pyramid Games is the appearance of the twins, children of the owner of the Miryo Group. Lee Soo Min (Jang Gyuri) and her twin sister moved to Baekyeon Girls’ High School which has changed its name to Miryo Girls’ High School.
The twins from the Miryo Group want to try playing the Pyramid Game like Baek Ha Rin. It’s curious, unfortunately, their plot and characters never appear at all webtoons.
10. Reunion Scene Omission:
The drama lacks a reunion scene and details about the characters’ futures after graduation, which are present in the webtoon.
Webtoon Pyramid Game has three episodes spin-off where the first episode shows the relationship between Sim Eunjeong and Ra Haejun’s best friend at the tutoring place. This plot does not appear in the drama, because Ra Hae Jun’s character is not the main focus.
Apart from that, there are also spin-off which shows the fate of students in grades 2-5 after graduating from high school. In timeline At the same time, Jung Yeondoo, who studied abroad, finally returned to South Korea and held a reunion. In the drama, the story of Sung Soo Ji and his friends ends when they are still in the 3rd year of high school.
